Dear Westbury School District Families and School Community,

On behalf of the Westbury Board of Education and Leadership Team, I extend a warm welcome as we embark on the new school year ahead! Please accept my sincerest gratitude for your trust and support of our amazing District in the previous school year. Together, we accomplished a great deal--and, I foresee greater success in the school year ahead.

It is indeed an honor and privilege to lead Westbury into another promising school year. I continue to be impressed with the community, school board, administrators, staff, faculty, and scholars' high level of pride and dedication to our school district. With this level of excitement and hope, I am confident we will continue to take Westbury Union Free School District to its next level of excellence in the new school year.

Westbury Union Free School District is a place where scholars of diverse backgrounds come together to learn, grow and be celebrated for their individuality. We remain focused on collaborative work that will empower all scholars to continue on their trajectory of success. This commitment will allow us to continue to serve our scholars, families and community at the highest level.

At our school district, you will find staff, faculty and administrators who are dedicated to ensuring that every single scholar has equitable opportunities to be successful. We accomplish this by implementing top tier instructional programs, investing in the enhancements of our facilities and learning spaces, providing ongoing training to staff, faculty and administrators using a variety of mediums, and engaging our families and community in the learning process. We are eager to begin our new mathematics program at the elementary level as well as prepare for the International Baccalaureate journey at the secondary level. We have been recognized as a Professional Learning Community Model School District and our collaborative work will continue to foster staff and faculty professional growth, thus propel our scholars' academic and social emotional growth.

Thanks to our community and corporate partnerships' support, we have made amazing strides in improving our facilities and learning spaces; you will see such improvements throughout the academic year. To name a few, we are thrilled to open a brand new tennis court, track and turf field, weight training room, playground at one of our elementary schools, new sign board at our high school, reopen the middle school auditorium, and modernize the public announcement (PA) system at several of our schools.

Please use our School Calendar as a reference guide for important information about our schools, scholars and planned activities. Furthermore, you are encouraged to visit our social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) for information about our school district.
