On July 13, 2020, Governor Cuomo released guidance for the September 2020 reopening of schools. The guidance required all schools to submit a plan by July 31 with the options for student continuous learning.
The Westbury UFSD has built this webpage to provide information to our staff, families, students and community members related to our reopening of schools. We are very proud of the collaborative process we engaged in to ensure that all stakeholders were active participants in response to the enormous task of safely re-opening our schools.
Below you will find the Westbury UFSD’s completed plan submitted to New York State Education Department and the Department of Health, individualized plans for each of the schools, and an updated presentation. As we proceed with our plans, we want our community to know that the fluid nature of these uncertain times may change the plans. The district will provide updates upon receiving information from the Governor's Office, CDC, DOH, and NYSED. Our priority is to ensure that we are prepared to open and operate in a safe and healthy manner for our students and staff. Thank you for your continued patience and support throughout these challenging times.
