The Park Avenue School serves youngsters in grades one and two. The school environment reflects a “child-centered” approach to learning. The instructional program focuses on the development of literacy and an understanding of basic mathematical concepts. Science and Social Studies are explored during current events as well as integrated into thematic units of study. In addition the following special subjects are offered: Art, Computer, Library, Music and Physical Education.
Our mission at Park Avenue School is to collaborate with parents and to offer our students a nurturing, child-centered environment designed to address the six developmental pathways: cognitive, ethical, psychological, social, physical, and language.
