Through the Office of Second Language Acquisition & Adult Learning Center, the Westbury Public School offers a variety of educational programs to the students that are identified as English Language Learners (ELLs) and community members. The programs offered are geared so that all English Language Learners will be able to achieve high levels of performance. We provide programs that also support and meet the diverse needs of students acquiring Spanish as a Second Language. We are proud to offer programs such as:
Transitional Bilingual Classes ~ Pre-K through 3rd grade
Dual Language Classes ~ K through 5th grade
English as a Second Language ~ K through 12th grade
Adult Learning Center/ Family Literacy Center
Our programs are comprehensive and support the social/emotional, academic and cultural diversity development of all children. Our mission is to prepare students with 21 st century skills that will enable them to become competitive citizens in a global society.
