SCHOOL BUS DRIVER RODEO

Saturday May 4^th Nassau and Suffolk county school bus drivers came together for a NYAPT SCHOOL BUS DRIVER RODEO Competition. This is a competition in which the school bus driver's get a chance to show their driving skills. Our Westbury School District drivers took home 9 trophies.

Great job WESTBURY DRIVERS !!  Keep up the great work in keeping our children safe.

Fourth grade students at Drexel Avenue Participate in "Be a Good Egg"

Monday, April 29, 2013 - Fourth grade students at Drexel Avenue have been researching threatened shorebirds including the Piping Plover, Least Tern and the American Oyster Catcher during library classes. Audubon New York had launched the "Be a Good Egg" campaign and the Drexel students participated in the program. Students designed signs that would alert beach-goers of bird nesting areas, including the federally threatened Piping Plover.
